Nobody builds a house in months. They build it to a date.
Auspicious days for griha pravesh cluster into a few windows a year, and the gaps between them are months wide. Miss one and you do not lose a month, you lose until the next one opens. So we work backwards from your date, not forwards from ours.

To hand over for 18 Apr 2027, we break ground by
18 Oct 2025
That date has already passed. On an 18 month programme this window is no longer reachable, and we would tell you so at the first meeting rather than the fourth.
And if it slips
The next window after 20 Jun does not open until 5 Nov 2027. That is the monsoon and Pitru Paksha in between. A month lost here is not a month, it is 5 months of paying rent on one house and interest on another.
The windows, across two years
The long empty stretches are the monsoon and Pitru Paksha. They are the reason a builder who is casual about dates is expensive in a way that never appears on the quote.
