Higher cover to the steel, marine-grade fixings, paint chosen for chloride. What the sea does to a building is decided on paper, years before it shows.
What was already there
A 1954 floor, a plan eleven degrees off the grid, forty-one inherited objects. Houses where the brief was mostly about keeping things.

Where the joinery did the work
In a small house, joinery is not furniture, it is architecture. All of these were solved in our own workshop before they were solved on site.
A number that did not move
Fixed at the first meeting and still fixed at handover. Two of these are the smallest projects we have taken.
