The client had built the company in a bedroom and wanted never to work in a bedroom again. But he also did not want an office in his house.
We put four working surfaces into the plan and disguised each one: a dining table at the right height, a windowsill deep enough to sit at, a kitchen counter with a power outlet no one can see, and a proper study he uses least of all.
All four take north light, which does not move and does not glare. The video calls look the same at 8am and 5pm, which turned out to matter more than anything else we did.
